Quarterly notice of recently approved and revised medical policies is provided in Provider Connection for your convenience. The Medical Policy Updates section of this newsletter does not indicate that coverage is provided for the procedures listed.

| REIMB-047 (New) | Residential Treatment Center Interim Billing | 02/01/2026 | Commercial Plan: This policy explains the requirements for Residential Treatment Centers (RTCs) to submit interim monthly claims for members who remain in treatment for an extended period, using specific Type of Bill codes and discharge status indicators to reflect whether a patient is still admitted or has been discharged. Each interim claim must include cumulative billing details, and the final claim must encompass the entire confinement period, replacing all prior interim submissions. Medicaid billing follows Utah State Medicaid rules, with applicable Type of Bill and revenue codes outlined for proper claim submission. Please see the policy for further details. |
